Our Aims and Objectives Guardian Advice aims and objectives are to provide young people and parents with reassurance and advice on issues that affect their everyday lives. We will always try to work with guardians wherever necessary to find the right balance which will help keep parents happy, but provide a professional service to young people.
- The Aim of Guardian Advice is to offer a quality service, so young people can ask questions and get information on issues affecting themselves.
- Guardian Advice also aims to help young people engage in communication that have a direct bearing on the individual.
- Guardian Advice aim to support parents, and show them better parenting skills
- Guardian Advice aim to promote young people’s personal, social and educational development.
- Equality of opportunity and the educational and social importance of choice, freedom, responsibility and justice.
- Our work is informal help/education where young people can be actively engaged, (by email)
- We will at all times try to cover the 4 key youth work values, which are: Education, Participation, empowerment and equal opportunity.
- Help young people through the transition of dependent to independent.
- Work with other youth organisations that can help young people, and have the best interest of them.
Our pledge to Young People & Parents Young people and Parents are an important part of our Lives. In recognition of this, Guardian Advice pledges that young people and parents will have access to information they find relevant to them. A specialist adviser that will provide:
- Letters with information address directly to the children/young person offering reassurance and guidance in their time of need.
- Get involved in discussions, (by email)
- Support from knowledgeable and well-qualified staff
- Confidential information, and advice services
